The desk

The chart claims the middle of the screen, the watchlist and market detail sit on the right, and a strip of sections runs along the bottom: AI read, Levels, Technicals, Catalysts, Screener, Alerts, Glossary and Indicators. Opening a section never rebuilds the chart, and every section is a real link you can come back to. Press Ctrl+K (⌘K on a Mac) to switch market, Alt+1 to Alt+8 to open a section, Alt+↑ and Alt+↓ to move through the watchlist, and Esc to close the open section. Type a number on the chart to change its interval the way TradingView does — 3 is three minutes, 2h two hours, 1D one day, 3M three months.

Charts and instruments

Browse the catalog across stocks, ETFs, indices, futures, crypto, forex, options and other instruments, or type any ticker. The first-party chart offers any interval you can type (3m, 45m, 3h, 2D, 3M), deep history that loads as you scroll left — years of crypto on every interval, a month of 1-minute bars and two years of hourly bars for futures, stocks and FX, growing every day as closed candles are archived — plus ten series styles, calculated indicators, drawing tools, comparisons against any market, bar replay, scale controls and snapshots. The selected market, timeframe, desk layout and watchlist follow your account between devices; chart drawings, indicators and appearance stay on the device you set them on.

Detected levels and technicals

The analysis engine reads bias, market structure, dealing range, liquidity pools, displacement, draw on liquidity and session ranges from the candles on every timeframe, and reports data quality alongside them. The Levels section lists every detection with its exact price so you can check it against another platform; Technicals adds trend, momentum, volatility and range position, drawn as meters with the number beside each one. Free market data can be delayed and is not an exchange-grade feed — verify against your broker before acting.

The AI read

Each market has one shared AI report, written from the detected levels and re-read when the market moves through one. It names a bias and its confidence, the draw on liquidity, a trade framing with its risk in R, the conditions that still have to happen and what would break the read. Reading a report is always free; generating an updated one uses your AI allowance on Premium (then purchased credits) and the free lane on other accounts. Every report is educational market context, not financial advice.

Catalysts, alerts and the screener

Catalysts filters the economic calendar and the news feed to the selected market: releases for its currencies, headlines that name it, and a countdown to the next high-impact event. Alerts arm a price alert on any detected level with one click, or on a price you type; alerts are saved to your account and checked against live prices while Market Monitor is open in any tab. The Screener lays every watched market on one sortable grid with its quote, daily structure, AI bias and setup state.

Custom indicators

Describe an indicator or strategy in plain language, paste Pine Script, or start from one of twenty templates. The builder writes the script as you watch, compiles it, repairs anything the compiler or a test run rejects, tests it on the last 1,500 candles of your chart and shows you a draft on the chart before anything is saved — with how often each signal fired and what it drew. Scripts are Pine Script v5/v6 and run as written (older v3 and v4 scripts, and TradingView's built-in ones such as Pivot Points Standard, run too): var and := state, if/for/while/switch blocks, functions, methods, user types, arrays, maps and matrices; labels, lines, boxes, tables, polylines and plotcandle (force_overlay=true draws any of them on the price chart from a study in its own pane); request.security() on other timeframes and other markets (including Heikin Ashi, Renko, line break, Kagi and point & figure bars of any market, the same bars the app's charts of those types draw) and request.security_lower_tf() on the candles inside each bar, loaded automatically (non-repainting by default); request.footprint() volume footprints (rows, point of control, value area, imbalances), estimated from the 1-minute candles inside each bar; alert() and alertcondition() with {{ticker}} and {{close}} placeholders, and a strategy's order fills as an alert (with alert_message and {{strategy.order.*}} placeholders); libraries — save a script that starts with library("name") (or paste a TradingView library) and import Author/name/version as alias in any script; log.info(); and strategy() backtests with stops, targets, trailing stops, risk rules and margin calls (margin_long and margin_short, on by default in v6 scripts as on TradingView), use_bar_magnifier=true to read which of a bar's stops and targets filled first from the lower-timeframe candles inside it, and calc_on_order_fills=true to run the script again after each fill so a stop and target placed from the fill act on the same bar. A strategy's settings on the chart (and in the studio's Inputs) include its Properties, as on TradingView: initial capital, order size, pyramiding, commission, slippage, margin and how orders fill, changed without editing the script. Built-in studies such as RSI, ATR, Supertrend, DMI and Parabolic SAR match TradingView's values down to the last digit, so crossovers on exact ties fire on the same bars, and as there the editor warns when a ta.* function sits inside an if, a loop or one branch of ?:, where it only advances on the bars it runs. Sessions, timezones and VWAP resets follow each market's trading day. Indicator Studio pairs that conversation with a live preview on any market and timeframe, a code editor with autocomplete, hover help and live error checks, Output and Strategy tabs with logs, trades and statistics, Fix with AI, inputs to try, and alerts you can arm on any market that notify you by push even with the page closed. Native extras add fair value gaps on any timeframe and market structure (BOS, CHoCH, sweeps). Premium builds with the paid AI model while its monthly AI credits last; the Free plan builds with free models, which are much weaker at writing code, and the studio always says which one is building. Keep a revision history, add it to your Market Monitor or Backtesting chart in one click (charts always run your latest saved version, and update as soon as you save), and publish to the community as open or protected source.

Developer API

API keys with read:market-monitor can read the catalog, watchlist, settings, overview, analysis, report, candle, quote and catalyst endpoints. Updating settings or a watchlist requires write:market-monitor. AI report generation and AI explanations use the signed-in account's AI allowance and are not available to API keys.

Availability

Market Monitor is available to every signed-in account. API keys need the matching resource scope and cannot generate paid AI reports or explanations.
