Trading Journal
Capture every trade with enough context to improve the next one
The journal is the core data model in TheProfitPath. It stores entries, exits, notes, emotions, tags, images, setups, and draft state so traders can review both execution and decision quality.
01Section
What a trade contains
Trades can store entry and exit prices, quantity, stop loss, take profit, commissions, P&L, notes, tags, emotions, confidence, confluences, images, and checklist state.
02Section
Drafts and edits
Incomplete trades can stay as drafts. The edit flow supports opening and closing times, status changes, image attachments, and post-trade journaling fields.
03Section
Accounts and strategies
Trades can be linked to an account and a strategy, which lets the app group performance by journal account, prop firm, data source, and playbook.
04Section
Public sharing
Some trades can be marked public and reused by the community features and share cards.
Example use case
A practical example for this feature.
Record the setup, attach screenshots, tag the trade with the mistake that happened, then review it in analytics later.
trade -> entry / exit -> emotions -> notes -> review in analytics
